CHECK IT YOURSELF: SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL
Follow these steps to properly safety check your semi-automatic action pistol:
STEP 1: Assume the pistol is loaded.
STEP 2: Turn the safety ‘ON’ and point the pistol in a safe direction.
STEP 3: Open the action by pinching the rear of the slide and pulling it to the rear.
STEP 4: Visually check the chamber, receiver and magazine for ammunition.
STEP 5: Grasp the pistol with both hands and point the muzzle in a safe direction.
