Hunting is regulated with laws that exist at the federal, state and municipal level. Why so many rules? The primary reason is resource conservation.

The laws ensure that:

• Fair chase and fair share are practiced.
• People and personal property are protected.
• Hunting participants maintain the integrity of the sport.
• Game animals are protected from the risk of extinction.

The tradition of hunting simply wouldn’t exist without the laws and safety rules that protect hunters, non-hunters, wildlife and the environment.  Pay attention, do your research and know the laws that apply to the area where you’ll be hunting.
